2024/25 Sailing Presentation Night Recap
What a fantastic night we had last Sunday celebrating the 2024/25 sailing season! A huge thank you to everyone who came along – the energy in the room really showed what a strong and growing sailing community we have at the Club.
This past season has been one to remember – a wonderful group of sailors, a growing number of juniors and families on the water, a little 50th celebration or two, and so much passion for the sport. It’s a real testament to the hard work of our junior sailing program and dedicated trainers and sailors.
Highlights from the night included: Most Improved Junior Sailor – Louis Milton – one to watch next season, what a great up and coming little sailor!
Most Improved Senior Sailor – Congratulations to Craig Wheare, He has shown great commitment and steady improvement throughout. We’re excited to see what next season holds for him!
Sailing Supporter of the Year – Joe Jones, for his ongoing support, especially behind the wheel of the rescue boat and helping with junior set up and pack down!
Commitment to Junior Sail Training – Leo Jones, who has shown incredible dedication and enthusiasm all season.
Sailor of the Year – Bas Carr – In his first season sailing Wanderer (his newly restored Heron), he has been dedicated and enthusiastic, finishing at the pointy end of most races and led by example with fairness and commitment all season!
