Sailing season started on the 8th October with a good number of boats on the water from our own members and several from Port Lincoln Yacht Club. The “official” boat this year was the Tacoura which is owned by 3 of our members Keith Hoffman, Robert O’Callaghan and David Wilson who generously allowed our Club to use their boat which was very ably skippered by Shaen Smith who recently became the owner of the Coffin Bay Slipway. All on board enjoyed the afternoon watching the sailing with a very nice breeze that made the day enjoyable for the sailors too.

This year we have several very keen junior sailors who along with our regular sailors from previous years help to make quite a spectacular scene on the waters of Coffin Bay each Sunday. Sailing classes include Optis Heron’s and 125’s for juniors during the sailing season.
