A Volunteer Lunch was held on Sunday 22nd May at the Club to say thank you for all the hard work and hours that our volunteers put into helping the club. A great day was had by all who attended, enjoying the delicious finger food prepared by our Chef Tony.

Awards presented by Commodore Chris Stenson on the day were :

Junior Volunteer of the Year – Hunter Galloway

Hunter has been working in the kitchen with Tony most weekends and has also helped out at some recent functions helping prepare and serve meals. Unfortunately Hunter wasnt able to attend on the day but Tony accepted a new football for him as a small token of our thanks for his efforts.

Senior Volunteers of the Year – Amy Carr and Bas Carr

Amy took on the role of House Officer after Gwen retired and has been busy juggling the monthly kitchen rosters, helping to order and prepare food and kitchen supplies and covering gaps in the roster as they arise.

Bas has been working tirelessly on the jetty upgrade project over the last four years and is finally able to start seeing some results for his hard work.

Congratulations Hunter, Amy and Bas. We value each and every one of our volunteers and thank you all for your time and efforts given to keep the Club running so successfully.
